She sat there everyday. And he’d gifted a rupee to her bowl daily, for as long as he could remember. Yet the lens-man never saw even a flicker of a smile on her time-ravaged face, save for the one day when he’d pointed his camera at her, and told her that she’d be on the papers the day after.
No one could have surpassed her glee…
Joy is not what we have, it is how we give. A few words, a gentle smile, an ear lent, or simply a hug; often, these can light up a person’s life in ways that a million dollars can’t possibly. And whoever said that you need to be extravagant in compassion? Hence, we embark on this journey, which we’d like to call We Care, because, we genuinely do. Whence IITGians walk the halls of fame, is it not our duty to lend to the world, our support, no matter how modest, so as to spread a smile or two?
Not a boast, not a blab, and not in the least a selfish endeavour . This is IITG reaching out, for all those that feel deprived.
An orphan needs not a flashy toy,
He longs for a kiss, for care.
The aged need not solitude,
They wish someone be there.
Aids won’t heal if they’re alone,
A pence wont buy a severed leg.
Don’t leave a man in agony bare,
Imagine, if ’twas you there.
Success is hollow, if we can’t do as little as spread love.

8 Ptr. Conspiracy May 12, 2008

In some institutes like the IIT s the results are expressed in terms of a cumulative grading system called the CPI or the CGPA. This is sometimes considered as the final earning of a student from this institute.(though a lot deceptive)
The genesis of this conspiracy has its roots in the inception of these prestigious institutes – the IITs. Generalizing the system a 9 ptr is the one who’s CPI’s MSB is 9 and ||ly a 7 ptr and a 8 ptr.
The base of the conspiracy is the selfish nature of some people who believe in the fact that CPI is what they finally earn and learn from an IIT. (so wrong !)Back the main theory “All the 8 ptr conspire against the 7 ptrs”. They want people below them, they want there scores to surpass the class average by miles! This they accomplish by not helping any 7 ptr so that they can improve and become 8 ptrs ! So mean……doesn’t it seem so?? They always misguide the 7 ptrs by provoking them not to study and that they do it by studying just one night before the exam. Are my fellaz, if it would have been this way , would we not have been 8 ptrs ourselves?
Kher back to the pt. this was in short the 8 ptr. conspiracy, leading to some obvious querries, doubts and consequences. :
The 9 ptr help the 7 ptrs readily…why ! as simple as giving advise, Coz they have already realized the distance between the 7 and 9 is far to easy for us to cross!
If we the 7 ptrs have already realized this conspiracy, then why don’t we study hard to give the 8 ptr a punch on thier faces?..As simple as being cool…coz at the same time we have realized that we can get a seven by just studying one night before the exams where as those geeky 8 ptrs study day and night throughout the sem to get just a 8 !
One final consequence…7 ptrs rule the world is a proven fact but the day still awaits when the 8 ptrs gonna realize it !!
